The First Years family of highest rated True Fit Convertible Car Seats are easy for you and safer for your baby. Advocates also recommend keeping your little one rear facing for as long as possible. We have a removable head rest that really is easy to remove. One finger lifts the release and you are able to pull the head rest off until you need it, usually up to 22 pounds. As your infant starts to grow, simply add the head rest back on and you are good to go in the rear facing position up to 35 pounds. And when your infant is ready to watch you drive (at 35 pounds or so) simply make sure that head rest is in place and turn your seat around. And remember, even in the forward facing position, your child will still be using the 5 point harness. The True Fit seats all have deep side wings and they are all side impact tested to international standards. We have easy to access shoulder belt height adjusters on each side of the seat and they are clearly marked with recommended positions (four) based on whether you are installing in a rear or forward facing position. All of this means you never have to spend time trying to figure out how to correctly rethread or adjust the harness. The combination of our no rethreads harness and our easy off pad. True Fit Rebound (model C670) is our newest addition to the True Fit Convertible Car Seat family. This seat delivers all of the standard features from our original True Fit with several new features. This seat features the standard no rethread easy to adjust harness. The harness is for use up to 65 pounds. In both rear and forward facing installations. Our easy off head rest and easy off pads are standard too.

Firstly, I would like to give Amazon and the seller an A++ for fast shipping. I was expecting to have to wait at least a week for this seat. I placed my order on January 5th. My estimated delivery was January 11th-14th. The car seat arrived on January 7th! I was amazed. And quite happy because I was anxious to get it. This review will be more of just an overview because my daughter has only ridden in it one day, but so far it is an awesome seat.

After doing tons of research for a convertible car seat for my fast growing 6 month old daughter, I thought I had run out of choices. I had previously owned a Safety 1st Alpha Omega Elite, and not only was that car seat a monster in size, it was also a pain to install, and it didn't even fit in the backseat of our 2007 Chevy Impala. I have 2 C630s, have had them for over 1 year now. I just purchased the C670 because once again it is the highest rated convertible car seat on the NHTSA website: [...] I had to purchase this seat because two weeks ago we were rear ended, when the accident happened our first concern was out 19 month old son. I remember looking back at him, terrified and he was smiling watching a DVD, it is as if nothing happened to him. We got paramedics to check him out and they were impressed with his demeanor. I thank God for saving us all, but I also attribute his safety to the The First Years True Fit C630 he was sitting in. Due to insurance requirements we have to replace the car seat and it was a no-brainer for us to stick with this brand and model. Thank you First Years/Learning Curve for making a good product in this era of recalls and substandard materials.

I will give you an update in a few months when I have used it for a while.

I cannot understand the negative reviews posted for these seats. I have one and am about to purchse 3 more for our two vehicles and two kiddos. Every function is simple, and ingenious. We have traveled ever since our first child was 4 months old and took this seat everywhere - all around the country. I have installed it in every rental car imaginable with relative ease. The belt locks are genius in my opinion, but the same result could be accomplished with two seperate cinch mechanisms with a latch belt that was split and fastened permanently to each side of the seat - whatever. Mostly i got to use the latch system, but on a couple of occasions, the locking clip had to be employed in an older vehicle or a newer vehicle without latch hooks in the location where we wanted the seat. I am an engineer, so maybe I have an advantage. I actually laughed when I read some statistics that stated 'most people install car seats incorrectly'.
