I purchased this for my toddler, who has sometimes has accidents in the car. I looked at this product and the piddle pad. I got this one because reviewers on the piddle pad complained that the pad doesn't stay in place and this pad seemed to fit more securely (velcro to attach around belt straps and seat belt buckle slot). This pad doesn't stay in place very well and gets in the way of buckling since it bunches up around the buckle so you can't get to it. My son had an accident and some of it still leaked onto the car seat. I still use it as a safeguard, but I'm in the market for something better.

I think that it's ok for use with an infant who doesn't get in and out of car seat, but toddlers climbing in and out move pad around too much for easy use.

2.0 out of 5 stars only sorta works, September 5, 2008
This review is from: Sunshine Kids Dry Seat Pad, Grey (Baby Product)
Well, I'll grant you that it is waterproof, technically, but, given the fit, it might more aptly be called, "generally moisture proof-ish". Anything that has enough volume to spill out, would, but little accidents usually don't. The seatbelts on my Graco seats don't come through in exactly the right spot for the pad, so this pad doesn't fit around them well. The guard over the center strap of the seat isn't tall enough to protect that - at least not for boys. The seat pad doesn't stay in its place at all, and I'd have to rearrange it every time my toddler climbs in his seat for it to do anything. It needs some velcro on in many places if it were going to stay put. It has caught one or two very slight accidents, but most of the time the belts get wet anyway, even if the seat cover got out OK. Let's see one that isn't as bulky around the center strap and actually wraps around it securely. Make slits in the sides that allow it to fit more seats. Put the hook side of velcro on...Read more

1.0 out of 5 stars On second thought..., September 16, 2008

I've had this product for a while now. We have a Sunshine Kids Radian 80 carseat for my almost 3 year old. At first, I really liked that it fit the seat so well. Now, I think it just might be useless. My son is potty training, but still has accidents. The most recent of which proved this product absolutely useless. It was quite a large amount of urine, but it soaked through this pad, through the car seat material and even found its way to the actual seat in the van. Not what I expected.
