Summary: Not too impressed 2007-01-05
Comment: Good concept, but not that easy to use. I actually left it on the airplane on purpose. It was light and portable, but was difficult to secure in a safe position.

Summary: It Works! 2006-12-31
Comment: First carefully read the instructions and place it in the backseat as directed. It will not work otherwise. Took me 20 minutes with the first car and it wasn't installed correctly. During the drive to my in-laws I sat in the back with my daughter and re-read the instructions. Tried it again and in less than 5 minutes I had it in correctly. Yes it is difficult to install, and the seat belt must be very tight. Second I found it much easier with a manual belt. (i.e. the lap only, not the 3-point type) Third my child is 17 months and meets the minimum requirements however we had to teach her to sit. If she worked hard at it she could wiggle forward and create a leaning position. She learned that it wasn't as comfortable as sitting upright and that we wanted her to sit upright. If your child will not learn from you then do not buy this seat! We just used it for our x-mas trip and will use it again this winter when we visit in-laws in CA. Very compact and easy to pack in luggage. Inexpensive, give it a try and if it doesn't work sell it on amazon.com

Summary: Absolutely terrible 2006-09-24
Comment: This car seat is absolutely horrible. Too many times my daughter was flat on the seat. To get her in and out of the seat is a hassle. The straps are not made properly. The straps were actually choking her when trying to take her out. DO NOT BUY

Summary: Can be tricky to install 2006-09-04
Comment: Yes, this car seat can be difficult to install properly, but once you have it down, it is quite secure. We have used this seat while traveling with our [...] daughter, and have been quite happy with it both with respect to safety and convenience. It's definitely a lot easier to use this seat in a car with just a lap belt, but it can be used with a shoulder belt with a little time, patience, and a locking clip. We have been able to get a tight fit of the seat to the car, and our daughter to the seat. I wouldn't use this as an everyday or long distance car seat, but that's just because it isn't as comfortable as, say, a Graco or a Britax - there are no side walls for a child to lean against and sleep/rest.

Summary: Doesn't work -- but a good idea 2006-08-04
Comment: I bought two of these for use at my mom's house in another state to prevent me from lugging our regular seats on the plane, etc. Seemed like such a great idea for short-term, occassional use! However, in practice, my daughter (4.5yrs and scrapping the top of the weight allowance) found the straps too tight (with no extra to let out) and the shoulder straps too close together, causing irritation to her neck (and she's rather on the skinny side). My son (2.5yrs and smack in the middle of weight allowance) could wiggle all over the place even when buckled into the center backseat belt - literally lying down on the back seat while buckled!

Wish someone would make a similar thing that actually worked!
