This review is from: SafeFit Car Seat Travel Tote (Baby Product) We liked this car seat bag when we bought it but it does not hold up well against rough handling. We only got two round trip flights out of it before it was destroyed beyond repair. It got a small tear in it on the flight out and we couldn't get any type of tape to stick to the fabric for a repair. By the time we got home from the return flight the tear had ripped *wide* open, and our car seat was damaged as a result. 11 of 11 people found the following review helpful: By This review is from: SafeFit Car Seat Travel Tote (Baby Product) I've had the SafeFit sitting on the shelf for months. Finally pulled it out for a trip to Hawaii. Our Britax Marathon barely fit into this thing. It made the first leg of our trip in one piece. But when we arrived in Hawaii - the first time I tried to remove the seat, the zipper ripped at the top. Then on the return flight - I zipped up the bag and right at the end zipping it up - the entire zip mechanism just popped right off of the bag. When I arrived at home, I thought I would have to cut the seat out of the bag. Fortunately, the stitching along the zipper was so flimsy, I was able to just rip the thing open, with little to no effort. Poor, poor, poor construction for a bag that was supposed to be sturdy enough for travel. Do not buy this tote. 6 of 6 people found the following review helpful: By Scarlett O'Hara (USA) - See all my reviews This review is from: SafeFit Car Seat Travel Tote (Baby Product) The bag looks very good, with wheels and with a strap to carry it on the back. However, it is not big enough for the Evenflo car seat up to 50 pounds. I have a Triumph Advance Evenflo car seat and it won't fit. So I had to return it, too bad. |
