Summary: Great Car seat 2007-03-16
Comment: I have had this seat for my oldest son for a little over a year now. The seat is great! I've never had an issue with the harness twisting, the fabric is super soft, and my son is very comfy in it. I was leery about how confined the head area appeared to be but my son love it. This seat fits him like a glove. Recently I had to adjust it up to the second harness height and that was a very simple to do. This seat installs quickly and easily in every vehicle I have put it in. It has latch clips that I think are better than Britax (we also own a Britax Boulevard). I can get a nice tight install with the seat belt too.
The only down side to this seat is it only harness to 40lbs and is front facing only. In this same price range you can get the Britax Marathon which will harness to 65 lbs (as long as height is not exceeded) but that seat does not convert to a booster.
If you asked me if I would buy this seat again I would say YES! This seat has been great and I have not had one issue with it thus far! The Recaro CS is also really great! I ordered my seat from Target and the box was very badly damaged (ripped open and banged up) Thanks UPS! I called Recaro because the seat pad was missing I had a prompt call back the seat pad was in within a week!
Recaro is coming out with a new convertible seat that shows much promise. I am eagerly awaiting the arrival of that seat! It will harness from 5-70lb and will be convertible and will remain in this price range!
