I'm an Aerospace Engineer Daddy, so I will write based mostly safety features and facts, no emotions...
The Maxi Cosi is a very well built car seat, it gives the perception of a strong and sound structure and it's a very well built system out of solid polyurethane (strong plastic) and steel I trust to restrain our daughter, and it's lightweight.
The handle forms a wide arc around her so it does not make her feel like she is being confined and restrained, and comfortable to carry. It has large push buttons on each side for easy swing away.
The car adapter has a steel base plate that adjusts to varying inclinations of the rear seats of both our cars, this was a plus, and it comes with its own belts to latch onto the new car built in anchors.
The rubber strips at the bottom base make the seat very safe to place on a table without slipping. The baby sits inside a Styrofoam cocoon covered by the Cosi patterned designer covers that absorbs the child's shock energy if she...Read more

Love the Car Seat, it's super safe and it looks great! Which are 2 very important points!
Now, I've read in other Mico Car Seat Reviews that it's hard to handle, and it is true! It requires patience, not something easy with a newborn.
The harness system can be challenging with a new baby and so it the latch to the base. It requires practice...
The 5 point harness has a double latch that can be very nerve wracking. My daughter is 2 months old and I still have trouble buckling her in. I feel sometimes it's too tight and I am always scared of pinching her.
The latch to the base can be difficult to figure out as well, I am not always sure it has latched to the base.
These are issues to consider, I am sure there are easier car seats out there, but the safety rating of this car seat is amazing. Plus I have the whole Quinny System and I love it. It attaches to the stroller base and that is an AMAZING feature.

I didnt realize that the car seat comes with the base. I purchased an extra base and now I have 2. This hurts when you are on a limited budget.
