We live in an appartment with no storage so I wanted a stroller that only had one piece that would take us from newborn to toddler and would take the car seat without adding any other equiptment. My husband is also 6'5" and I am 5'4" so the stroller needed hight adjustment. This stroller met all my demands with the addition that it could be used facing out and in (towards the person pushing and also has the largest canopy and really can keep the sun off my son. I love this stroller for all of thoes reasons but it has some major faults that make it not worth the giganitc price tag. The breaking system on our stroller was broken on arrival. The adjustable handle broke after about 6 months use. I need to use this stroller every day as we are out all the time and don't have a car. It seems unreasonable that it should break after so little use. The next thing that broke was the latch that keeps the stroller from...Read more 3 of 3 people found the following review helpful: This review is from: Peg-Perego 2010 Skate Stroller System, Black Step (Baby Product) Just bought the Peg Perego Skate system in Tropical. I will give it a 5 star for many reasons. We were torn between the Bugaboo Chameleon, UPPA baby vista, and Britax B-Ready and I must say that the skate is the best investment ever! More bells and whistles for you $$$ it's expensive but well worth it. Took it to the mall yesterday, and it just SKATES not GLIDE... the bearing is awesome on the wheels, the fabric is not cheap, its thick and comfortable, it came with accessories. The Bassinet is NOT flimsy! it is sturdy and the matress reclines, only difference with the 2010-2011 is the fabric, which you can buy different ones from Peg Perego for $150-300.00 I was also told by CS that they are releasing new fabrics in the fall so I cant wait. Its a click and go system! UNLIKE the Bugaboo, you must remove wheels here and there to make it an "all terrain" stroller as with the skate you just press a button and you can use the stroller on grass, cobblestone etc. Very happy with that,...Read more 3 of 4 people found the following review helpful: By Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Peg-Perego 2010 Skate Stroller System, Tropical (Baby Product) When I went to pick up the package, it was huge. So, I was a little taken back. But, when I opened it, I got so excited! I bought this because being 4 months post partum, I was ready to start walking and losing the weight. I did tons of research between this one, Phil & Ted's strollers, Mutsy, etc etc. I am SO happy I bought this one. We live where there are some rough roads so my biggest concern was getting a stroller that "glided". This one is AMAZING. I have my son facing me, he passes out in it and DOESN'T wake up from his nap. With my little Graco stroller, every rock we hit he would wake up. I feel like I could hit a boulder in this and he wouldn't budge. I love the bassinet feature that came with it. He isn't too thrilled about that, but it is neat to have. I used the rain tarp today and it was perfect. I love how the sunshade covers more than half the stroller so no rain, wind etc. can get in on my son. Anyway, I have to get going but I LOVE this stroller. Happy strolling to...Read more |
