Munchkin Dual Head Support, Green

I have a flimsy head support that came with my carseat. I bought this one because I liked the ventilation it offered. I was pleasantly surprised when I recieved it. The head support is so sturdy even though it is very light weight. The baby's hed NEVER flops forward when he falls asleep in his carseat, which is why my sister was interested in her own.

I thought perhaps my baby (14 pounds, 25 inches) grew out of it so I tried the original head support because he holds his head a lot better. Nope, the only one that supported his head well is this munchkin one. I then put it into the carseat at a higher level and it works jist fine. I feel like his head is also more protected if we were to have an accident. It is held steady left to right. But I was really impressed at how well it keeps the baby's head from flopping forward.

I was disappointed by this head support. When it arrived I thought it was flimsy, but I tried putting it in the stroller anyway and it would not fit. The notches for the straps would not fit with the straps on my Mia Moda stroller. The fabric on the head support was also very thin and perforated, which would be great for air flow, but it seemed to me that it would get picked very easily. Also, my baby spits up alot and the perforations throughout the head support would mean lots of spit up in very small holes that I imagine would be quite difficult to clean. I have lots of other Munchkin products that I love, but this one was just not for me. I decided to return it, which was very easy. Maybe with a different stroller or a baby that does not spit up so much it would work better.

Item fit into a Chicco keyfit seat well, but inner head support was too small for our baby (albeit she was almost 8 pounds - that's probably why!). It stabilizes her head well and is nice due to the "venting" built into the pad. Would definitely recommend!
