There are three common types of car seats available: infant car seats, convertible car seats, and booster car seats. Note: The Child's weight, height, and age are all important factors in determining which car seat is right for your child. Infant Car Seats are designed for newborns and usually include a carry handle to help parents transport their child to and from the car. Convertible Car Seats offer more than one mode of use. They can be used rear-facing for an infant and later used forward-facing for toddlers. Booster Car Seats with a built-in harness can be used for toddlers. Older children can use them as belt-positioning boosters until they no longer need a car seat. To determine which car seat type and model meets your child's needs, consult with a certified child passenger safety technician and carefully read the car seat package, warning labels and instruction manual.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love this Booster!!!!, May 26, 2009

OK... I have to say that it's truly bizarre that there are no reviews for this seat anywhere!
I bought it based on the crash testing ratings(tops in the German list and their standards are high) and because it looks cool.
My daughter loves it and says it's comfy. The seatbelt never touches her neck. It's very solid feeling... easy to reach across to fasten the seat belt... The cup holder is pretty weird... you have to take it off if someone needs to sit next to her.
I had a Graco Booster that my daughter folded like a rag doll in when she slept... so off I went to find a booster that reclines.
We've had this a couple of months now... sleeping is great, she still flops forward if she falls asleep in a funny position but I am able to adjust her then her head will stay back the rest of the time.
We got the Chili color and it's great! Hot pink, apricot and a dark plum... very stylish. I'm going to get a second one soon to replace her Britax in our other...Read more

3.0 out of 5 stars Better than graco, still poorly constructed, September 2, 2009

I purchased this because my daughter likes to sleep on long car rides. This seat is supposed to recline, however, every time I do this the top disconnects from the base. The side head rests are nice, but they don't come out very far so I'm not sure what they'll do in a collision. My biggest annoyance is that we have had the seat for 6 months and the fabric has holes all over it, it's falling apart!? I had my britax for 4 years and it still looks like new, I don't think it's my child.

4.0 out of 5 stars Rodi XR, June 15, 2009

This review is from: Maxi-Cosi Rodi XR Booster Car Seat, Citro Rush (Baby Product)
Sturdy and has a nice modern look and appeal. What we personally didn't like with the Rodi was that it was large and bulky. Coming from the Britax Marathon, we wanted a booster that was compact and easy to manage - while being safe. We also purchased the Combi Kobuk which had a nice combination of compact and safe features.
