Comment: we are a young family and the price of this carseat is wonderful. We wanted a carseat with plenty of padding to confort our 7 1/2 montrh old son. He loves this. If you adjust the straps BEFORE you put your child in the carseat in the vechile then it would be much easier. I love this carseat and so does my son. The only thing i didnt like was it doesnt have a mesh bag that i can find in the box or on the carseat. so all dissapointed there.

Summary: Not good for rear-facing use! 2005-01-14
Comment: We like this seat because it has good Consumer Reports safety ratings, high sides (nice for naps), an easily removable cover for washing, lots of padding, and a great price. However, when installed rear-facing, the strap adjustment is inaccessible. It is placed so low on this model that the vehicle's seat back covers it in a rear-facing position. We even reclined the vehicle's seat back all the way, and still could not loosen the straps. We could only adjust them when we removed it from the vehicle, which was frustrating after taking the time to install it! I had read about this problem on another website - and it is true! The entire carseat also moved around much more in the rear-facing position - we could not get it tight enough, using latch, in our Honda Odyssey, and felt it just wasn't safe facing that way. That said, it works great in the forward facing position. Luckily my son is able to also sit forward facing and I can adjust the straps easily and perfectly, he enjoys sitting up high and comfortably, and it doesn't budge an inch now. If you are looking for a rear-facing seat - keep looking, but if your older baby or child can sit forward-facing, this is a good buy!
