So it's good to keep in mind that all car seats have to pass the same safety inspections by the National Highway Traffic Safety Admin (google them for more car seat info). The reason all these car seats have different prices are due to comfort and style. We were not concerned about style so much, but we did want our baby to be comfy in case we take long road trips. We went to Walmart and felt the padding in all the seats. We stuck our daughter in some of the seats to make sure everything lined up right with the straps. I suggest you do the same, even if you end up buying it from Amazon because it might save a few bucks. We chose this car seat because it's cushioning is equivalent to many of the high end models. It doesn't recline, but I didn't want to pay another $50 for the model that did. My daughter's head does slump when she falls asleep, but a kid-sized neck rest mostly fixed that...Read more 8 of 8 people found the following review helpful: By This review is from: Evenflo Tribute V Convertible Car Seat, Abby II (Baby Product) We preordered this car seat about 3 days before its release date. My wife did not like any of the other car seats online or in the store and wanted a car seat that our 9 month old (who is still sitting rear facing)could grow into. We have never ordered a car seat online before but was amazed at how fast the our car seat was delivered. The delivery was scheduled to arrive about 6 to 7 days after the release date, but it arrived the next day. This car seat was easy to install and is easily adjustable for even the smallest child. We couldn't have found a better deal with a more adorable pattern; we're still amazed by the price and quality! 13 of 15 people found the following review helpful: By This review is from: Evenflo Tribute V Convertible Car Seat, Abby II (Baby Product) This is a good product for the low cost. I researched car seats before purchasing. This is the only car seat I found in the top ten that cost less than $100.00. It is very comfortable and has a cute design. The only con is the recline feature. It is not convenient to change position and there are only two recline positions, relined and straight up. This is not an issue now because my daughter still rides rear facing and the seat is tilted in a comfortable position. I did have to use a pool noodle to make the car seat level in my Pontiac torrent (For more info on using a noodle to level your convertible car seat in rear-facing position look at [...]) However, my child is very comfortable and falls asleep without her head in an awkward position. I am interested to see how the recline feature works in the forward facing position. |
