I've been installing and uninstalling car seats for almost 6 years now so I'm no novice. I have a new model SUV and have achieved tight fits with Britax roundabout, Britax marathon and Safety 1st Hybrid Go. Needed an additional toddler seat to provide more comfort for longer rides. Loved the light weight and comfort design features of the Evenflo. Got great ratings from consumer reports.

Ran into installation problems with both the LATCH and seat belt installation modes. The tether strap is a single strap (rather than a looped strap that forms a triangle when tethered) so there is a lot of horizontal play in the tether no matter how tight I made it. The LATCH strap hooks were difficult to hook on and also did not achieve that rock solid fit. No matter how much I cinched up on both the tether and the LATCH strap I could still move the seat around more than an inch. Same issue with the seat belt + tether installation. There are many things I really like about this seat and was disappointed when it didn't work out for us. I tried installing it with the LATCH system in our car and fitted the harness to my 2 year old and 5 year old. I did not try the booster installation or fit. Here are my thoughts:

Installation:
- Fast and easy install.
- Solid as a rock. The car shook when I tried to move the seat.
- Relatively narrow exterior.

Fit:
- Fit my 2 year old fine.
- Plenty of width in the seat and room for the crotch strap for my 5 year old.
- Neck straps dug into both sides of my 5 year old's neck.
- Not alot of room for my five year old to grow in height.

This is a pretty good car seat. I can't attest to the fact of how well it works considering we haven't been in a car accident with it, but it's easy to install in the back seat of my 2000 Honda Accord (no anchors so we have to use the seat belt). It's easy to get my 40 lb son in and out of and he likes it too.
