Summary: Horrible!! 2007-10-28
Comment: I purchased the travel system and the same week I used it with my 4 day old, 7 lbs son the car seat handle slipped sending the base forward! When I called the company to inform the problem, I was told to borrow a car seat and to send the defective one for a "check". I stopped using the car seat immediately and had to purchase a new one since the company doesn't offer refunds. I kept the stroller and 4 weeks later the front wheels popped out and won't go back in. Overall it is a cheap, poorly manufactured product.

Summary: A dangerous waste of money 2006-12-27
Comment: I bough this travel system and it was a complete waste of money. Not only did the wheels fall off the stroller, as noted by other reviewers, but the peg holding the canopy on fell off, and the adjustment lever came off too. I called customer service and spoke with a rude agent who hung up on me!

The wheel thing is VERY dangerous - the first time I put my son in it, the front wheel just fell off. We were on a level sidewalk, no bumps or anything. When I picked up the wheel I could hear the plastic parts moving around in there. So there we are, limping the half mile back to my car when I notice that the canopy is no longer staying put. Sure enough, the little plastic part had come off. That one rolled away, never to be found. THEN, when we finally got back to the car and I went to put my son in, I tried to adjust the straps (This was the first time we used the travel system, so I was worried they weren't tight enough. Felt down below the seat and...nothing. Thats right, the plastic lever to adjust tension had snapped off. I didn't get more than a mile's worth of use out of this thing!

Save your money and buy a better travel system - one that will keep your little one safe!

Summary: Not bad for the price 2006-12-02
Comment: My son outgrew the car seat because of the length restriction fairly early. We still use the stroller though. The one thing I don't care for on this stroller is that if you use the tray on the front, you have to take it off once you fold it down. If you don't, it snaps off in the trunk or you have to completely turn the thing over.

Its definitely not a lightweight stroller though.

Summary: wheel problem and poor customer service 2006-10-06
Comment: The front wheels on this stroller immediately started falling off. At that point, I thought I wasn't snapping them on correctly, but that really wasn't the case. My daughter soon switched to an umbrella stroller, so I didn't worry too much about this.

Last week, though, we went on vacation and I wanted to take this stroller since it reclines enough for my daughter to take a nap. We packed it up and when we arrived to our destination, I noticed one of the front wheels had warped tremendously. It still worked, though, so I attempted to use the stroller. Both front wheels would fall off CONSTANTLY. I couldn't duct tape them, because 1. I didn't have duct tape, and 2. the only way to do that successfully would have caused the front wheels to not be able to turn and maneuver.

So, I hoped for the best. Anyways, one evening, we were strolling the stroller and we noticed a wheel was just MISSING. It had fallen off (not going over bumps, either. We avoided bumps and ONLY used ramps since the wheels were constantly falling off).

I had to rent a stroller for the rest of the vacation which cost $18 per day.

I had no idea that evenflo had so many wheel problems. When I looked it up on the internet today, I found that there are websites devoted to complaining about evenflo's wheels and customer service. I called Evenflo myself and talked to Jessica, a very rude agent. She DENIED the evenflo problem (which is ALL over the internet) and insisted that there's never been a recall problem because of the wheels. But, there are noted wheel issues, despite the lack of recall, I said. She only agreed to waive shipping and handling costs but told me I'd have to purchase 2 wheels at $20 each. I asked to speak to a supervisor. She was going to connect me to Jennifer, but I got disconnected.

I called back and told my story to Linda. She made all the difference. She agreed to send me both wheels at no cost. She admitted the problems they've had with the wheels and told me they have redesigned them with metal parts so that the problem would be rectified. She was kind and helpful. Hopefully I'll receive the wheels soon as she says-- within 2 weeks.

UPDATE: I received the replacement wheels very quickly, and they seem to hold on tightly to the frame. I guess we'll see. Although they stated they'll have metal parts the parts seem to still be plastic with the same design as the old wheels. But, they seem to be holding the frame snugly. If you can get the right customer service agent, I guess you'll have good luck with them, but I would still avoid purchasing this stroller until enough time has passed so you can be sure that all the wheels are made correctly. Calling Evenflo for the correct manufacture date would be the only guarantee for this.

I would NOT buy an evenflo product again.

One more update (November, 2007). We took this same stroller on vacation again this past week. No problems whatsoever with the new wheels. However, please note that we haven't used the stroller since last year, so I'm not sure how the stroller would be with regular and/or constant use. This past week, though, we used the stroller at least 10 hours per day for 8 days. Wheels didn't fall off even once and we weren't at all extra careful.

Summary: bad wheels 2006-07-22
Comment: We bought only the stroller since our son was too old for the carrier. The stroller has so many wonderful features like the ease in folding the stroller, the net covering to shade and keep bugs away. I can go on and on. We thought the stroller was well worth the money. But it is essentially useless since the wheels fall off everytime I use the stroller. It makes it unsafe to have them detach, especially when it happens while in use! If they fix this problem, the stroller would be wonderful.
