As a petite person, I found many of the carseat/carriers to be simply too big for someone my size to lug around. The ergonomics of the carrying handle are great and the seat is lightweight enough that it's no problem for me to carry it with baby inside. Another reason I chose this product was because the seat is smaller than some others and fits without any problems into the backseat of my compact 2 door car. It's also not much trouble to squeeze it between the door frame and back of the seat in order to get it into the backseat, even with the baby inside. The stroller is nice, not too big but not too small either. It can be used alone as a stroller for a bigger baby or you can pop the carseat/carrier onto it securely and use it as a stroller without disturbing a young baby from their carseat. One feature I really like is that the sunshades of both the...Read more 9 of 9 people found the following review helpful: By This review is from: Evenflo Journey Premier Travel System - Lakewood (Baby Product) The front wheels on this stroller immediately started falling off. At that point, I thought I wasn't snapping them on correctly, but that really wasn't the case. My daughter soon switched to an umbrella stroller, so I didn't worry too much about this.
Last week, though, we went on vacation and I wanted to take this stroller since it reclines enough for my daughter to take a nap. We packed it up and when we arrived to our destination, I noticed one of the front wheels had warped tremendously. It still worked, though, so I attempted to use the stroller. Both front wheels would fall off CONSTANTLY. I couldn't duct tape them, because 1. I didn't have duct tape, and 2. the only way to do that successfully would have caused the front wheels to not be able to turn and maneuver. So, I hoped for the best. Anyways, one evening, we were strolling the stroller and we noticed a wheel was just MISSING. It had fallen off (not going over bumps, either. We avoided...Read more 5 of 5 people found the following review helpful: This review is from: Evenflo Journey Premier Travel System - Lakewood (Baby Product) I bough this travel system and it was a complete waste of money. Not only did the wheels fall off the stroller, as noted by other reviewers, but the peg holding the canopy on fell off, and the adjustment lever came off too. I called customer service and spoke with a rude agent who hung up on me! The wheel thing is VERY dangerous - the first time I put my son in it, the front wheel just fell off. We were on a level sidewalk, no bumps or anything. When I picked up the wheel I could hear the plastic parts moving around in there. So there we are, limping the half mile back to my car when I notice that the canopy is no longer staying put. Sure enough, the little plastic part had come off. That one rolled away, never to be found. THEN, when we finally got back to the car and I went to put my son in, I tried to adjust the straps (This was the first time we used the travel system, so I was worried they weren't tight enough. Felt down below the seat and...nothing...Read more |
