The two things I greatly dislike about this car seat is 1. the chest clip is very hard to get undone and 2. it makes the loudest pop when it goes into the base. I am still pregnant but I can imagine how that would scare a sleeping newborn.
The base does have a little hook where the baby's feet would be, it holds onto that part of the car seat. Obviously pay attention to that, you have to pull it back off of it.
The sun shade is very flimsy. It only has one (maybe two) piece of plastic on the inside causing it to hold it's shape and the back of it just falls. I will probably get some velcro like someone else did.
I personally like how long this car seat is. If you have a tiny car, this is not the car seat to get. I like it because my children are very long/tall kids. The issues I have with car seats is they outgrow it in length before weight. I think this car seat will last a little longer.

I put a baby snuzzler in it for comfort and it is a great product for a great price. Earlier there was a review that said that it was expired but i checked the exiration on mine and it does not expire until 2017! Bought an extra base as well and have been using it for 5 wonderful months.

I purchased this item because I had an old evenflo car seat which broke and I assumed that I would be able to use my old base with this new car seat (as a backup in our second car). That is not the case. This newer model is bigger than my old model. It comes with a new base - which you tilt the car seat forward & put the front (feet of baby) in under the plastic lip & then click in the back. It is a little more awkward than my old car seat but I assume its safer.
I also don't care for how flimsy the canopy is. It is always sliding back and isn't effective in shading my baby.
