I purchased this car seat for my older son, who had been in an Evenflo Triumph. While the Evenflo is great, it has a high profile, so as my son got bigger, I started banging his head on the door frame as I put him in the car. The Eddie Bauer completely alleviates that problem and, actually, has made it so that my larger-than-average two-year-old son can get himself in and out of the car by himself. He fell in love with this seat immediately!

While this seat is supposed to accommodate a smaller infant, I did put my infant son in the seat once (he outgrew his carry car seat by 3.5 months) and he hated it. This seat really is best as a secondary seat for toddlers and then as a booster for older kids. Go with the Evenflo Triumph if you have smaller kids because it's easier to operate and wash.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not quite right, September 1, 2008
This review is from: Eddie Bauer Deluxe High Back Booster Latte (Baby Product)
I thought this seat was wonderful when we bought it, but my after my daughter threw up on it and I had to take the whole thing apart, it's never been quite right again. The seat belt guides at the shoulder won't stay inserted into the back of the carseat-they just keep popping back out. Now she had a pee pee accident and I'm sure it'll be even worse after diassembling it again. With little kids stuff happens and you've got to have a carseat that can be washed and reassembled and still work. I'm going back to Graco.

4.0 out of 5 stars Latte Eddie Bauer Deluxe High Back Booster Review, February 8, 2008

Not a bad purchase although it arrived in a throughly crushed shipping box from BabyAge. A company that never returned my inquiry re: safety of seat after poorly handled UPS shipping. Other than my concerns about the long term durability of the seat on arrival (you could defintely make out all contours of the booster seat through the crushed box!) the harness buckle seems a bit snug & I worry that we'll need to switch to seatbelt restraint too soon. My 12 month old son is 90% for height, 75% head circumference & onlyEddie Bauer Deluxe High Back Booster Latte 25% for weight.
