The Eddie Bauer AutoBooster offers a stylish design with a child's safety, comfort and convenience in mind. The belt-positioning booster design is used forward facing with the vehicle seatbelt and it converts to a backless booster to accommodate your growing child. The 8-position height adjustable headrest is also designed to grow with your child, and is padded with deep sided wings for comfort. The padded, pivoting armrests provide additional comfort and make it easy for your child to get in and out of the booster. There are dual hideaway cup holders that slide out and up to the child to make beverages easy to reach, and the storage pouch is the perfect place to keep electronic devices close at hand. The removable, washable pad makes cleaning the booster incredibly easy and convenient.

This review is from: Eddie Bauer Auto Booster Car Seat in Portman (Baby Product) We did a lot of research before buying this and it was rated in the top 10 from Parents Magazine, had very good ratings from the NHTSA, and was ranked high by Consumer Reports. It is very lightweight which is a little surprising. It is a roomy carseat, has cup holders on both sides that can be pushed back in if you are not using them. The arm rests are nice. My daughter seems very happy with the seat. We previously had the Sunshine Kids Radian 80 as her toddler car seat--it was nice, but much narrower, no cup holders, no arm rests, and no head cushions that stick out like this one. There are cup holders on both sides, so it doesn't matter which side of the vehicle the seat is on. Also, the cup holders slide closed into the seat when they are not being used, saving space. The arms move easily so the children can buckle themselves in quickly. The handle on top makes it easier to grab hold of and to move from one vehicle to another. The head rest is adjustable to the height of your child as they grow. Also, the angled sides of the head rest work well when a child falls asleep and it keeps their head from bobbing. The fabric is easy to clean if there is a spill, and even comes off easily if you need to throw it in the washing machine. In our Corolla and BMW X3 it fits fine (not the center position though) but we have to remove the head rests to accommodate the seat. It fits perfectly in the center position of an Acura TL (older model) and fits fine in a Jeep Rubicon.
The problem is the silver bar that protrudes out of the headrest of this seat--it's just adds too much hight. Other than that, our daughter likes this seat and it's easy to take in and out of different vehicles. The cup holders are also nice since they can be stowed right in the seat. |
