Summary: Not for rear facing babies 2007-05-03
Comment: I bought this seat when my son was 12 months old. He's still quite little and needs to be rear facing, but was outgrowing his infant seat. This seat may be fine in the front facing position, but in rear facing it is a nightmare!
The shield is in the way when trying to buckle or unbuckle the baby, the chest guard didn't adjust right and because the strap adjustment latch is in the bottom center it was pressed against my vehicle seat and I was unable to easily adjust the length of the straps.
All in all, I do not recommend this seat. The only thing I did like about it was that once he was in it my son fell asleep fairly easy. I, however, had a huge headache from the hassle of trying to get him safely buckled.

Summary: Good Car Seat but too Bulky 2007-02-01
Comment: I like this car seat. My son liked it too, but it was just too big and bulky for my small car. I think it will be better in a big car. It was good as an infant seat and I think it will be even better as a toddler seat.

Summary: Can't wait to buy a different seat 2007-01-21
Comment: I received this seat as a gift. We first had a car seat with a detachable carrier, but my son outgrew that seat at 2.5 months. I don't know how it will be when it is front-facing, but it is very difficult to do up in the rear facing position. The buckle between his legs isn't in a fixed position, so you have to two-hand it to get it done up (which wouldn't be a problem if the arm rest wasn't there). I have an older jeep with a bench seat in the back, so I have to use the lap belt to secure the seat in the car. The base has these funny "wings" which I suppose are supposed to secure the seat belt to the car seat, but interferes with the buckle on the seat belt, making it very difficult to get a tight fit. Also, the shoulder straps are attached to the vera-fit barrier, so not only do you have to struggle the straps over the head of a screaming baby, but you have to do it with that barrier in the way. Maybe this seat will be better when it is forward facing and the baby will cooperate, but I wouldn't recommend it for a small baby.
