I had to get a second car seat for my parents who take care of my son when I'm at work. my mom wanted something that was easy to clean, i wanted something inexpensive but safe. My other car seat is the same type--Cosco Scenera--but is the green one, and that product had a review that said this car seat was rated almost perfect for safety, and it's cheaper than most carseats. The colors are great--I gave my parents the green one and ended up keeping this one for myself! I love the pattern. the middle section is an easy, wipe-clean surface, the side panels are fabric. It comes with a cup holder, too. My first one didn't. It's also VERY easy to put together/adjust straps and such. it goes from a rear-facing to a forward-facing seat (my son started out rear-facing after he grew out of his infant seat at five or six months).

Bought two of these for the grandparents house when we visit as I did not want to spend lots of money on a second pair of seats (I have twins, so it adds up fast). They exceeded my expectations. They came well reviewed as far as safety, and have so far worked out great.

Good front facing, poor rear facing car seat,

This same car seat (different cover) can be bought at walmart for about $20 less. It is a horrible rear facing seat for infants, it puts the child too far upright. It is mediocre for an older baby who isn't ready for front facing seat. It also doesn't strap in as tight as it should in the rear-facing position. I would recommend another brand convertible or an infant car seat. We bought it for our son who was under one but too heavy for the infant seat we had. I ended up continuing to use the infant seat until he turned one because the lack of tightness in the rear-facing position bothered me.
In the front facing position, the seat is great, it secures easily, the straps have enough positions to be functional for a long period of time, and for the price its a good buy if your child is too young for the toddler front-facing seats.
