My son's Graco Snugride broke after 2 kids, and my son had another 2 months or so I wanted to keep him in the infant seat. I bought this since it would be temporary, but am horrified.

First, It doesn't sit flat on our seat (never had a problem before with other seats in our Nissan Rogue), and there's no way to adjust that. Other infant bases have a way to position it, but this one, you're kind of stuck with how it is. My son was almost sitting upright! Ok, so we took it off the base and used it with the seatbelt (without the latch system or base) and that helped that issue.

Second, the sides are so low that he looks like he's sitting up OUT of the seat a bit! Both the other infant seats I've used (Graco and Chicco) felt like a bucket, so the baby was cradled inside. This one, he's just "out there", and if there were an accident, I'd be afraid of how he'd be handled.

Can be used with or without base, so can go in my hubby's 2 door mustang as well. Very convenient. The only thing that is annoying is how easy the bonnet thing can come on done. Maybe this is because of a not super tight fit between the plastic pieces that hold the sun shade up. Still it is 5 stars for the money and ease of use.

My grandaughter was born 8 weeks early and she only weighed 4 lbs when we took her home. This is the ONLY car seat we could use for her...it's made for "the tiniest travelers"..with 4 adjustable slots for the shoulder harness and 3 slots for the butt harness it was perfect! Every other infact car seat we saw had a minimal weight of 5 lbs. I read the other comment and didn't have any of those issues.
