The first years family of highest rated compass booster car seats-easy for you, safer for your baby. Ready to move to a belt positioning booster? Our boosters will deliver many miles of happy driving and one of the most comfortable rides ever. The full line of the first years compass belt positioning boosters has been awarded the highest ease of use rating, five stars, from the National Highway Transportation Administration (NHTSA). Each Compass Booster is easy to use and has features that we developed with you and your child in mind. A comfortable seat keeps you child in the seat longer and our features are easy for you to use and they make your ride more enjoyable. Using our boosters has never been easier. Our rotating armrests empower your child to easily climb into their seat. And once your child is up and in the seat, the rotating armrests make it easier for you to secure your child with your vehicles safety belts in the correct position. Once you have buckled your child in, simply rotate the arm rests down and you are ready to go. All of our boosters featured a no gap back, wondering what that means? As your child grows, the back of our booster does too. At their lowest weight and height your child is fully surrounded with our no gap back. As they start to grow, simply use the side height adjustments and raise the back and your child is still fully supported. Sometimes you will need to remove our booster from your car—either to loan to a caregiver or simply to make room in your back seat when not in use. You never have a problem storing or transporting your Compass booster with our patented Easy one hand fold and built in handle. The Compass Boosters all feature two retractable cup holders. No more reaching behind trying to hand a cup over while trying to keep your eyes on the road. And our cup holders are oriented in such a way that when your booster is properly installed they hold your child’s cup or snack upright and secure.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
With our two older children, we used the Graco booster seats with the back on them. While the price on them was right, the fabric was a bit scratchy and the backs came off the seat real easily when moving it around from vehicle to vehicle.

We obtained The First Years Compass Pathway B570 booster seat and plopped it in the van for our 3rd child.

When I first opened the box, I was a bit confused at all the adjustment points on the seat and how they worked. A quick glance in the manual and I was ready to place it in the minivan.

It goes in like any booster seat. However, this model has the LATCH connectors as well which prevents the seat from flying around in the event of a car accident and there is no child in the seat.

The booster seat has two snack cups that fit into the cup holders on each side of the seat. The cups come out with a half turn. Most toddler and covered cups fit into the snack cups, which is quite nice as the snack cups...Read more

We first bought a much cheaper booster, however, it did not fit in our car nor the grandparents' car (which have bucket seats). We were limited to boosters with a narrow base. Although this cost three times more than our original purchase, we got what we paid for! Furthermore, it's worth our child's safety for years to come. This booster is so solid and high quality. It fits so well in all of our cars, especially with the adjustable belt path. We love the latch system, which First Years made so easy to use. You just push a button to open the hook and latch it into the chair. No more squeezing a hook with fingers into a seat! It's great not to worry about strapping in an empty seat after dropping off my child at school. It's a breeze to transfer the booster from one car to another. The folding feature was an extra perk, since we will be checking it in at the airport. The side head rest did it's job holding up our boy's head when he fell asleep. He really enjoys his big boy seat...Read more

We just got this seat for my 4 yo step son who weighs 60 lbs. He LOVES this seat, especially the cupholders. He says it has a "great laying spot" so he can sleep. It is durable and sturdy so not the lighetest booster but not to heavy to move from car to car. Actually I like that it is heavier because it is more durable. All the other boosters we looked at were practically falling apart or so thin it didn't look like enough protection. The head wings are great, soft and comfy, and perfect size. The belt positioners keep the belt situated perfectly on him. So easy to use and understand. I love that it folds since we only have him part time. This company had a bad rep with their older model but they listened to the complaints and really changed it on this one. Very durable and sturdy. It doesn't change to a backless booster but I like it more because of this, no more fighting with the back of the seat. My ss can ride in this up to 100 lbs.
