All of our children have started out big and then stretched so we go through car seats fast. This one lasted longer than most and was very easy to get in and out of the car. I liked it a lot better than the ones we had that had a back release latch. It's much easier to get it out by pulling the release at the front of the seat. the base is sturdy and stays locked in place if you belt it down properly. Simple to transfer between cars as well! By This review is from: Baby Trend Columbia Infant Car Seat - Green/ Gray (Baby Product) We like this car seat, it is easy to use and very convenient for taking baby in and out of car. The only problem is that our baby has grown out of it at 5 months old. We didn't expect to grow out of it so quick. We have had the problems with the straps but they are fairly easy to untwist. We also really liked combining this product with the baby trend expedition. (Drawback: combination is pretty heavy and bulky.) This review is from: Baby Trend Columbia Infant Car Seat - Green/ Gray (Baby Product) I bought this carseat after shopping and seaing the graco one I had wanted was very expensive. This is my first child, and I really wanted something I could use with other children. As far as colors go, I could definatly use it boy or girl. However, the red buttons on the sides of the handle that you push in at the same time to collapse the handle back, have gotten harder and more difficult every week to push in. When either grandparents babysit my little man, they always complain about how annoying it is. I don't blame them, I feel the same way. Also , I think the most aggrvating thing about this car seat is (someone else pointed this out in the review above) is that the straps twist like crazy, and the bottom straps that go into the buckle between the baby's leg, they twist so bad that you literally have to take 5 minutes PlUS sometimes to get them back to the way they are meant to be, and you have to allign both buckes over top of one another to get it to snap into the right place...Read more |
